Cross Movement Drops The Ambassador?

Check out this statement from Cross Movement Records…

“It is with much grief, severe disappointment and an overwhelming fear of the Lord that Cross Movement Records is sad to announce that we will be discontinuing the forwarding and promotion of the artist and minister, The Ambassador, due to recent findings of moral failure in his marriage. It is Cross Movement Records past, current and, prayerfully, future position that living in moral compromise is unacceptable and never allowable in the lives of any of the ministers that we co-labor with. . .”

I’m not too sure if I agree with this move…but I bet Craig G Lewis is laughing. What do you think?

Why is it that we always think that a singer/rapper is blessed just because he comes across as holy or because his songs sound so blessed, or because he does community work or whatever

Since when does that mean the rapper/singer is blessed?
The Bible gives us a passage in which people even cast demons in God’s name and God tells them “Depart from me, I never knew you”. What makes you think that Ambassador is truly a man of GOD? He may be a man of GOD that slipped or he may not be a man of GOD at all. You judge the trees by its fruits and these fruits are a combination of a LOT of things that you can’t see in an artists life (even pastors, mind you!)

God used donkeys and rocks in the past, why wouldn’t use ungodly people to fulfill his plan? God allows power to be given to false teachers to preach a twisted gospel, why wouldn’t he allow an ungodly singer/rapper to sing? I know Christian rappers that smoke weed before going up on stage but all we see is the holy image they show so we can’t judge if that person is truly blessed based on the things you hear from his mouth and the little you see an artist. Grow up in the faith, guys ,come on!

The people of God confuses forgiveness with tolerance every time! People read very little Bible and love to make decisions off of “I think…” instead of going for what the WORD of GOD says. Discipline is encouraged throughout the entire Bible for the believer’s own good, specially if there wasn’t repentance on the end of the person who sinned. If the label believes that there was repentance between the parties involved, then being dropped might have been too much but if there wasn’t true repentance, then yes, he should be dropped as an eye opener to him and an example to other believers that the Lord and sin cannot coexist in harmony, and also to keep the kingdom of God taintles. Just read the New Testament passage that teaches us how to deal with the sins of the believers in a corporate scale.

  3. Jordan Ogletree says:

Reading these comments..all i can say is WOW! We are so right yet so far off! Remember you will be judged the same way you judge others! Sin does destroy for the wages of sin is death but Jesus did conquer Death and Sin. Duce you are forgiven. For anyone that say Ambassador cant teach, preach, or talk about Holyness or God to anyone again…you are simply ignorant. If every preacher/minister of the gospel stop preaching or talking about The Word because they fell short then there would be not teachers and preachers of the Gospel. Im not against how CRM or Duces church handle the matter because God has set up order and he was under that order. To Duce, you know the word! Repent. And lets keep preaching the word! Theres a passage in the Bible where the deciples ask Jesus if they should stop some of the others “unbelievers” for casting out demons in Jesus name. And Jesus said No. Anyone who does work in my name will soon come to believe. ( i para/summed that up). The point is as ministers of the gospel we are responsible for our actions becasue we can cause other to stumble of not believe. However you simply cant tell someone to never preach the word again because they fell. Gods Word is still powerful regaurdless of if we fall or Not. Keep preaching Duce. matter of Fact…preach abouot Holyness. Preach about Faithfulness. Preach about Gods unfailing love, grace, and mercy. David committed adultry and murder….well you’re one up on him Duce! Never killed anybody have you! Now who in this blog wants to argue Davids annointing and his calling! Didn’t thinks so. God can use anyone! I hope God doesn’t judge any of you by your own word you’ve spoken! We all fall! My prayers are with Ambassador and family!

I respect the ambassador he is a very special individual, you can see God’s calling in his life. Who agree’s? The sad bit is he has loads of people looking up to him. Hope the Lord will restore him.

  5. Mr. Jet says:

i know im kind of late, but its cool. Lol
i just wanna say to Ambassador “Go and sin no more”.
i look up to Duce and imma keep looking up 2 him. lets keep our brother in prayer along wit his family.

  6. tha dude says:

I appreciate these dudes….(CMR) and (Lampmode) However, I just read an apology from Immanuel Lambert (Da Truth) stating that he had an immoral discretion in his own life. Why wasn’t this situation handled the same way? I love his music. Why didn’t CMR handle it the same way. All their doing is marketing for their other artist. I think Im done with HHH.

  7. Dave says:

From what I can gather, the Ambassador has already dealt with his church and with his family and immediately stepped down. I believe the reason that G. Craige hasn’t commented on this yet, is because he is actually saying “right-on CMR”! Ambassador isn’t the first member of CMR to have disipline applied to him – (Lampmode is same way with their artist as well). Unlike the regular mainstream gospel recording industry – you can’t get away with known sin at CMR or Lampmode. Amabassador is in agreement with CMR – he has made no statements or rebuttals, he’s takinig it like a real man of God and makinig no excuses. I believe G Craige Lewis is right in his assestment of the Gospel music industry and HHH in general. I love gospel rap, but now that the lines are bluring further (with the exception of CMR and Lampmode) I no longer associate myself as a HHH’r I’m just a Christian – the world can call me whatever they desire. I want to associate myself with Christ. I think G. Craige may have thought…It’s about time someone got it right!!!!

  8. terry says:

my brothers and sisters in christ we all have our own opinoins but we must see what the word says. #1 Ambassador was in the office of an pastor 1 peter ch 5 v3 says neither as being lords over Gods heritage but being examples to the flock. When you receive and answer the call of the Lord in ministry your life must line up with the word of God. A qospel rapper made one of the realist statements in one song by saying ” if my lyrics don’t match up with my life it don’t mean anything”.
#2 Everyone is talking about love and forgiveness but before that can happen ambassador must humble hisself before God and ask forgiveness 2 chronicles ch 7 v 14 if my people which are called by my name shall humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways then will I hear from heaven and will forgive their sins and will heal their land. Then he must humble hisself to his wife and children. Lastly he must apoligize to all of his fans and now this must be done because God had exalted ambassador to preach the word of God through CMR with his rap. Last but not least CMR has the right to expose ambassador because what he had taught against he had fallen into now you no longer can tell anyone about holiness until you get it right. But even then throughout the bible when men and women of God sinned even though God forgave them they still had to suffer consequnces from their decisions. So contiue to pray for ambassador and his family and for all of the fans who may have left their faith because of having their faith in man instead of God.

  9. well.. it’s like I thought!

  10. lai says:

There is a difference when a man sins who is in a position of leadership and especially a sin of this level, this is not just some small thing. While encouragement and pray for him is needed, you can’t just act like nothing ever happened and just get back to the way things were. He has lost his ability to hold a position of leadership and may in time be restored to something similar but things are forever changed with the consequences of sin. Sin changes everything and there are consequences to be beared. That does not mean however that he can not be forgiven but it changes the landscape of the position he held though.

  11. Eden's Gate says:

sweetpea, how do you know that his sin was “found out”? I thought he came forward voluntarily? Where did you hear he was caught out in sin?

  12. sweetpea says:

No! He should be kicked off the label. Yes, we should continue to pray for him but God gave him a platform and he basically spat in God’s face. He has a wife and children AND he was a pastor. For him not to control his lust is disgusting. The worst thing about it is that he didn’t come forward himself, his sin had to be found out. For that he needs to be punished. I’m praying for him but he needs to understand just how devastating this is to the Christian community. This is why people mock Christians. The label did the right thing.

  13. El Guapo says:

oh and i didnt pick that picture, it looks kinda fruity . . .

  14. El Guapo says:

HAHA, dude, ur all fightin over somethin like this and its not our decision. Christians need to be unified, remember that! i agree with Leo, he should get another chance. But i think he should get suspended for a while until its all settled, then announce its all good, take him back, PRAISE GOD. If u just cut him off, i dont see any glory to God in that. The mistake needs to be seen, reprimanded and when it gets better(Lord willing), announce that. Just punishing is like telling people how we are all sinners and there is hell at the end of our lives without tellin them about Christs death. Thats not gospel. The End.

  15. Pastor Lucas says:

Galations 6 vs 1 says that if a Brother is found in a fault, you who are spiritual restore such an one in the spirit of MEEKNESS, considering yourself lest you also be tempted.
I think it is bad enough when someone is caught out in their sins but to internationaly publicise it over the internet I think is completley out of order. We must understand that when a person is ministering that they are ministering under the anointing and it is so easy to forget that – that person is still just a mere man or woman. Therefore as Christian we need to recognise the difference between the PERSON and the ANOINTING.

Annoucing to the world another mans sins in the name of TRANSPARENCY is not what God intended. Everyone has a skeleton in their closet, and if you say you don’t then you are a liar and that makes you NOT OF GOD.
At the end of the day Ambassodor is still a man, who has a weekness that has now overtaken him, we need to Love the brother, because Loves covers a multitude of sins (Agape Love)we need to pray for him and his family, we need to pray against the spirit of Lust, Adultry, divorce and seperation, we need to pray for reconciliation, peace and humility. I am sure that the Lord would be more pleased with us if we helped the brother and shamed the devil. We are all God’s children, peculiar people, blood washed and bought with a price. We are all members of Christ body, therefore WHAT DO YOU DO IF YOUR HANDS GET DIRTY? (A) Chop it off Or (B) Wash them…..

  16. BT says:

I think so many times we tend to forget that we are not prefect. Yes what he did is wrong. But shouldn’t we first lift him up in prayer as a brother in Christ? We are so quick to lay judgment onto others like we have never sinned ourselves. I understand the “image” thing toward the label, but shouldn’t we care more about where the dude’s heart is right now then simply how it will effect sells? God will bless those who are faithful in planting seeds and providing healthy fruit. I just believe they should worry more about where A’s heart is right now more then anything….

Apologies… the Quote was from C.S. Elliot.

There again… Human frailty peeks it’s head :)

  19. fm.nelson3 says:

I spoke up earlier and I came back to see what Inter-net-web-blogous.com was thinking today.

Well, the problem with being human is just that… we are human! I think that most of us are applying our judicial rights as the court of public opinion. We are arguing the heart of the man (Ambassador) and the company (CMR). As human nature continually reveals, we are not able to always see without coloring the situation with our personal opinions. Even some of the responses that I have seen to comments made on this page have come from subjective interpretation of another writer’s statements.

Let’s just set the record straight:
    1) All of this is conjecture. None of us were there and none of us know for complete certainty how things are being handled. So do not rush to condemnation of CMR or Ambassador.
    2) Every person that has admonished the Godly chastening of Ambassador is just as correct as every person that has called for the loving restoration of our brother in Christ. Both or necessary for full healing (as I stated in my early comment from personal experience).
    3) Keep in mind sisters and brothers that we are a constant witness to a dying world and the last thing the world needs right now is another reason to watch us argue among ourselves. Especially over such a heart breaking and sensitive topic. When Paul called for the “public” putting out of a follower that had fell into sin… That word public did not mean “broadcast”… it was public in the community of believers. It was not Paul’s intention for the non-believer to be witness to what happens in “the Family”.

Keep in mind that God has this under thumb. As C.S. Elliot wrote in Mere Christianity: “God is the only comfort, He is also the supreme terror: the thing we most need and the thing we most want to hide from.”

On the subject of relationships and forgiveness with other Christians Paul also wrote this:
    Romans: 14:16, 17
Let not then your good be evil spoken of: For the kingdom of God is not meat and drink; but righteousness, and peace, and joy in the Holy Ghost.

    Excelsior!!!!

I am not hating or judging. Y’all are missing my point! I am not saying that she should not be forgiven. But to me, this is no different than the Bill Clinton scandal

  22. What’s up yall? STOP HATIN FOR REAL! I am the CEO and Executive producer of an independent Christian Rap label out of Galveston, TX. ARSIN RIZIN PRODUCTIONZ currently works with four artists who have all at times been the victims of sin, as we all are. I am proud to say that as their brother in Christ, I supported them throughout their trials and tribulations regardless of the situation. I’m a Christian DJ and work for the South District of the Texas Conference of the United Methodist Church. I keep all of CMR, including the Ambassador, in heavy rotation at all of our district camps and youth events. I play his music at Moody Methodist Church where I am currently employed as Coordinator of Contemporary Worship as well as Director of Music for Link Student Ministries. I will continue to represent the Ambassador to the fullest by pushing his message in my playlists regardless of anyone’s individual feelings towards the matter at hand. Why? BECAUSE TO SPREAD GOD’S WORD IS AND WILL ALWAYS BE NECESSARY!!! Jesus said in the GREAT COMMISSION “All authority has been given to ME in heaven and on earth. Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, TEACHING them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I AM with you always, even to the end of the age.” AMEN. (Matthew 28:18-20). I truly believe that the Ambassador has and will continue to do just that and when he’s weak he’s is truly strong! We can do all things through Him who gives us strength, so keep prayin for and reppin the AMBASSADOR! And to all the HATERZ out there (you know who you are), you know exactly where you can go!!!
    PEACE,
    D.J. MARKY MARK

  23. Let me first say that The Ambassador is one of the reasons that I started doing Christian rap. He’s one of my all-time favorite rappers. I’ve been privileged to meet him, and spend time with him over a meal, and at various events. I seriously have mad, mad love for this man. I was heart-broken when I saw the news on CMR’s site. That said I’m a bit shocked at some of the comments I’m seeing that seem to be criticizing CMR’s disciplinary actions.
1 Tim 5:20 says, “Those guilty of sin must be rebuked before all, as a warning to the rest.” CMR did not do anything unbiblical, or unloving. Did some of you guys not even read the statement they released? It clearly said, “we are to work toward the restoration of our dear brother in due season and also to do such in the spirit of meekness, considering ourselves lest we also be tempted.” They ARE working to help him and his family. They are trying to act in love.
Some of you are also betraying a very naive view of a husband and wife relationship, and it’s sanctity. Obviously some of you aren’t married. A “moral failure” in your marriage isn’t like losing your temper. It’s not just some random sin. Yes, all sin is sin, but each sin has it’s own severity and consequences. Marriage is a picture of Christ and the Church. Sin in that area is very serious.
Plus, forgiveness and love doesn’t mean no discipline. God is a God of discipline to those He loves. Based on whatever happened (which we don’t even know so we shouldn’t assume anything)I’m sure The Ambassador himself would even agree that he shouldn’t be in public ministry right now. This type of stuff can’t be taken lightly. Asking a leader (which he is) to step down for a time, when this type of sin is present is simply standard operating procedure for any Godly church, or ministry. I don’t understand some of these comments criticizing CMR. I’m totally baffled. Please let’s keep everyone involved in prayer, including ourselves lest we fall into temptation.

  24. Carlos Johnson says:

    fm.nelson3,

Thank you for that testimony bro! This is exactly what needs to be heard. People are assuming CMR is/has judged and left their brother out to dry and that’s not the case. People are saying their playing “god” (not just here, but other places as well)and accusing (judging) them for judging him when it’s clearly not the case. Those who support/look up to Duce need to know the truth, and the steps that are being taken to bring him back hopefully. Is it better to hear this from CMR, or G Craig who hasn’t responded yet, but I’m sure he will sooner or later… As a body, we are to exercise righteous judgement. WE ARE our brother’s/sister’s keeper. Thanks for that perspective bro..

  25. fm.nelson3 says:

As a minister, an artist, and a man that has been in this exact situation, I have to admit that CMR could have handled this situation in two ways. They obviously took the road of removal, but for everyone that is condemning CMR as if they have abandoned Ambassador… shame on you for extrapolating a full theory based on a partial statement. None of us know what is happening behind the scenes with their fellowship. I have to believe that as Godly a presentation as CMR presents, they are providing LOVE and Restoration along with Accountability.

I was not discovered in sin… I openly confessed to the person I offended, my pastor, my family, and my band mates. I ended the marriage (please don’t rush to judgment on that… you don’t know the entire story), I stepped down from my leadership position at the church and I have not preached or stood in an expository stance since then. This all happened in the first quarter of 2007. I have re-married, but I am still in the healing process.

While in prayer, the Holy Spirit moved me to a deeper humility. I wrote a letter of further apology to my ex-wife (with permission from her husband (see… you don’t know the whole story). I also humbled myself to my former pastor and did the same, but in person.

These were difficult steps for my, but necessary in the heart of God.

The most amazing part to me was my band. I called the lead singer and gave him report of everything. I stepped down from the band and he immediately asked me not to. He asked me to stay in partnership with him and allow him to be part of my restoration. It was quite Christ-like in the way he did it… he was loving and stern with me all at the same time. Also being a minister, he was very willing to counsel me and to this day, I am blessed by his friendship and brotherhood.

I just wanted to throw that perspective on the fire since every here seems to have not been on Ambassador’s side of the situation (at minimum, you are not saying so if you have been).

    Be blessed!

  26. breezy730 says:

    @leejohn…

So what exactly are you disagreeing with? I think you didn’t actually read and digest my comment. My actual point was that yes he deserves and needs forgiveness, but also needs to go through this and face the consequences of his decisions.

When David committed murder and adultery and the people wanted to stone him, those who loved him wanted to stop them. David’s attitude was…No, I have done this, I deserve worse, I have sinned against you God…That attitude of not blaming anyone or anything else for his position helped him to grow and continue on to be called a man after God’s heart.

We don’t need to pick a side here. Balance is the key. We can forgive the brother – we are to love mercy – and while God administers discipline we can support him in is healing, without pretending that he did nothing and continuing with business as usual. The label is within their rights I suppose and if they are making a bad judgment call, we should also leave judgment for that up to God.

Also, let’s everybody remember that sin has no categories or classifications. It’s all the same to God. None of us are better than the other simply because our sin has not been made public.

  27. Carlos Johnson says:

The Ambassador is more than just a rapper. He is a pastor. I love The Amba like everyone does, but as a youth pastor if I fall in sin, I have brothers who will call me on it, and if I persist in my sin, they will tell my church and others while continuing to counsel me. Question to consider. Do we truly love our brothers and sisters in Christ who we KNOW are in sin and do nothing about it? The following script comes from 1 Timothy 5:19-21: This sound like Paul is telling Timothy to do God’s work.

19Against an elder receive not an accusation, but before two or three witnesses.

20Them that sin rebuke before all, that others also may fear.

21I charge thee before God, and the Lord Jesus Christ, and the elect angels, that thou observe these things without preferring one before another, doing nothing by partiality.

  28. Carlos Johnson says:

Jade you’re seriously missing the point. You’re blurring the lines between The Ambassador and William “Duce” Branch. Did you read where I said these men are basically brothers? As a label and a business, they owe a responsiblity to their fanbase to be transparent with every artist on the roster. They report the good, (Grammy Nod’s Stellar Nod’s etc.) the sad (unfortunate passing of R-Swift’s son) and the bad.(The Amba) If they pretend like nothings wrong, that hurts the body of Christ and CMR’s label. I think you have the concept of accountability confused. If you could explain to me what you think accountability is from a Christian standpoint. Contrast what Jesus said about Pharisee’s and what he had to say in Matthew 18:15-17 and see if he’s conveying that same attitude. The word “trespass” Christ uses in those verses is better translated sins. Not my opinion, that’s the Greek language. Lastly…..

I never said nor implied that CMR should distance themselves from Duce. They aren’t distancing themselves. They are behind the scenes working with Duce to hopefully bring him back to where he was before: Repping the Lord at his church and on the mic. So you think I’m taking Paul out of context? Here are a few verses from 1 Corinthians 5, which I mentioned earlier:

3For I verily, as absent in body, but present in spirit, HAVE JUDGED ALREADY, as though I were present, concerning him that hath so done this deed,

4In the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, when ye are gathered together, and my spirit, with the power of our Lord Jesus Christ,

5To deliver such an one unto Satan for the destruction of the flesh, that the spirit may be saved in the day of the Lord Jesus.

Paul wasn’t even at the church, but had judged this man’s deeds, and declared that he PUBLICLY be put out the church that his flesh be destroyed in hopes that he may be SAVED.

The woman caught in adultery? The Pharisees were trying to trap Jesus so they could bring a charge against him. OT law states that when you bring an accusation against someone- in this case adultery, in which the penalty was death. In those instances, the people who brought the charges had to “cast the first stone.” This was done to keep people from bearing a false witness against someone. So are couple of things are in view here of why they left. They were either lying, (in which the penalty for killing someone and then to be found lying was death.) They were guilty of the same sin as the women, which the bible condemns, or whatever Christ wrote in the ground convicted them. Or it could have been all that. Scripture isn’t clear. Lastly their motives were wrong. They didn’t come out of respect for God and his law, they came from selfish motives. So there is a way for Christians to judge rightly, people just either mis-use, or don’t understand how it works, and therefore judge others for their judging. Finally, if we are to NEVER judge, how do you call out a brother/sister in sin?

  29. leejohn says:

My comment is to ‘Breezy’. of course people do not fall short, thatz a given! My point is once you become a person in a LEADERSHIP ROLE, you do not have that excuse ‘we all fall short’. Itz almost like being a president, the president CAN NOT make the same mistakes the average joe is ‘allowed’ to make. People who take leadership roles are AWARE of this.

Jesus is the perfect hypothetical situation because he was in HUMAN form! He did not allow himself to be tempted by the devil. I really don’t see how you can debate this, leaders are not allowed to make mistakes, why??? it KILLZ their credibility and diminshes their leader ’status’.

  30. HolyHotBoyz says:

I’m just going to keep it straight and forward! Everybody messes up! That doesn’t give him free range to go and do whatever he please either…but at the same time…nobody’s perfect! Because he sinned outside of the norm of say everybody else on that label doesn’t mean that the sin they do is greater than his…So I pray for that brother because like JADE said above…it is something God and The Ambassador and his wife has to deal with! What CMR should do is pray and help him through this endeavor…and business??? God’s work is no business…if you had to put it to a point where it is business honestly…then you’re doing it for the wrong reason! ITS ALL ABOUT MINISTRY!!! That’s where alot of artists get it wrong now…they’re so worried about how they’re business looks or what shape their business should be in…that they forget that hey…this guy cheated on his wife and needs our help more than ever!!! I’m not perfect, neither is any other human being on this planet…so please…I want the label to stop playing “god” and start being more like God in this situation by forgiving and forgetting!!!

  31. john da Apostolic says:

everyone struggles with sin but it’s the ones who truly allow the Holy Spirit to rise up in them to defeat temptation. and like you said CMR is a ministry, that means it is a form of church and without holiness no man shall see the Lord. we cannot be judgemental but be prayerful for strength and guidance. we can’t spiritually stone them, but be like God and say go and sin not.

  32. Jade Hummingbyrd says:

Are you then saying that Christians don’t sin?? So you run a business that employs faultless, and flawless Christians? You’re setting yourself up for a mighty fall if you choose to be that naive. It’s not just that we “struggle” with sin. We DO sin. Our struggle lies in returning time and again to God, as it is far easier to live a “sinful” life, than it is to live a blameless life. I’m not saying to “privately admonish them, while continuing to publicly back them” as you put it, although another label might take that route under the condition that their artist publicly admit his failings and candidly be seen by his fans as trying to recover God’s favor as well as that of his family.

You would rather distance yourself than display forgiveness, yes? I’m guessing that you wouldn’t expect mercy from your own loved ones if you wronged them in some way then – it would be okay with you if they turned their backs on you and said that they were “holding you accountable”? You would understand and completely agree?

As for Paul’s letter to the Corinthians, I believe you’re conveniently taking that quote out of context. Paul was admonishing certain unacceptable behaviors such as incest among those people. Answer me this…why didn’t Jesus punish the prostitute whom he saved from being publicly stoned? Didn’t he say “Neither do I condemn you? Go thine way and sin no more?” He defended her didn’t he? He wasn’t condoning her behavior but he made it QUITE clear that he wasn’t condemning her. Are you suggesting that JESUS was wrong?

  33. Carlos Johnson says:

    First off,

I wrote an article about The Ambassador at http://www.holyculture.net. I invite all to check it out and leave some feedback.

@Jade-God forgives yes. But He also disciplines. You’re only offering half the picture. This isn’t judging. Neither is this CMR’s code of moral standards. It’s the Bible’s. I believes it does tell us not to cheat on our spouses. The Ambassador is a worldwide known figure in Christian Hip-Hop. If they do nothing, and continued to promote him, eventually that would leak out worldwide. That hurts The Amba’s witness, it hurts the body of Christ because it reeks of hypocrisy, and it hurts the CMR label. At the end of the day, Cross Movement Records is a business. And it holds it’s artists to a standard of holiness that comes from scripture. This is done by yes, keeping each other accountable for sin. Matthew 18 deals with this. It’s not to say that John Wells are others don’t struggle with sin at all. This isn’t to humiliate him. They haven’t pulled his face off the website. If you go to the artist section of the site, his face is there, but his website address is not. Two questions and I’m out. Everyone can answer this.

    1. If you ran a Christian business that only employed Christians, would you continue to publicly push and back someone who was engaged in known sin? I mean unbelievers as well as belivers know about this sin? Would you privately admonish them, while continuing to publicly back them?

2.In 1 Corinthians Paul tells the church to publicly put out the man who was sleeping with his step-mother. Was he wrong for that?

    Grace and Peace,

    Carlos

  34. Jade Hummingbyrd says:

In the bible, Jesus said, “Let he who is without sin cast the first stone”…Forgiveness is one of the things that we are clearly taught, and it is NOT our place to judge anyone, let alone publicly punish / humiliate others when they don’t measure up to our moral standards. In this case, Ambassador, does NOT deserve to be robbed of his livlihood – the man has a family does he not? If his wife chooses to give him the cold shoulder, then that is her perogative, since the matter lies between the two of them, but the public has no right, Cross Movement has no right to interfere to this degree – this only compounds what has got to be a very difficult situation. Now, not only is he having to deal with emotional issues, he could possibly be facing financial issues as well. The funny thing about all of this, is that the label released this statement under the premise of “holding people accountable” and yadda yadda yadda, but really the underlying motive is only IMAGE, and their concern at being associated with something morally negative. That is all. I don’t believe they really care what Ambassador did, and whether it was right or wrong. I wonder if John Wells the “CEO” has been completely faithful to HIS wife?? I resent that the statement brought God into this, because CMR is NOT doing what God would have done. God would have forgiven the transgression.

  35. breezy730 says:

Jesus Christ is Lord. Sinless. No hypothetical situation concerning Jesus doing the same is plausible or makes sense in any situation. When we fall short as ministers – as people, yes, we need forgiveness…we need others to empathize with us because it is our human condition that causes us to fall short – and WE ALL DO. But if we are not made to face serious consequences for our decisions, we run the risk of a seared conscience. So he should be forgiven, but that doesn’t mean that the Cross Movement is obligated to keep promoting him. His focus should be healing and he should continue to turn his heart back to God and to take full responsibility for his actions with remorse. That’s the kind of heart God can work with…that’s the kind of heart God needs in order to restore and vindicate. God can turn this around and this may open the door to even better things and a deeper expression for the artist.

He’s not only a rapper. He’s a minister and a leader. It doesn’t matter how much good his past work did! Can you imagine if we found Jesus did the same thing? Would you still follow him? You people kill me! Lol

  37. bignif says:

I agree with Leo on this one. I don’t feel he should be punished for a mistake he made. For the thousands of people who don’t know anything about his personal life, his music can still touch them.

I feel these new potential listeners are being robbed of that..

  38. Leo says:

I don’t fully agree. If the brother failed and we ought to pray for him and help restore him. I do find it correct to stop for a while promoting him till be get restored. Now if be chooses to keep living in sin then yeah kick him out but be there foe the brother. Those are my 2 cents. The just man falls 7 times but gets back up

  39. melva says:

well, the guy goofed, fine, whateva happened to forgiveness and a second chance with a warning, even the cops let u go off with a warning if ur for instance a first traffic offender, how much more those of us who thrive only by God’s grace. The Ambassador didnt show a good example, and so do a lot of us, in so many ways, maybe not immorally, but remember sin is sin, even the ‘little’ we think we commit mistakenly in secret, so let’s not get into all that whoever-gets-caught-is-the-thief kinda attitude, it ain’t cool, let the brother go with some stern warning. Even George Bush warned Saddam b4 invading Iraq…lol

  40. leejohn says:

The bible says that what so ever is in the dark shall come to light. How can you preach the word of Jesus while doing so much sin. I can’t look at him the same way anymore
